Types
Each vehicle in ERD is given a particular type code and the standard version has the following type codes defined.
- C : Coaches
- D : Diesel Locomotives
- DEP : Departmental
- DMU : Diesel Multiple Units
- EMU : Electric Multiple Units
- H : High Speed Trains
- P : Plant
- S : Steam Locomotives.
You can define your own types so that, for example, if you wished to store your own data on trams in ERD you could define a new type of "T" say for trams. Likewise for wagons or even aircraft if you wished.
If you press the Stock Types button on the About Tab of the Control Panel the window shown below appears.
This shows the types of vehicle which are present in your version of ERD.
